so dark

This is the time of year when the darkness starts to take away my will to live. It was only 8 pm when I decided I needed to go to bed. Forget accomplishing things: I’m wearing my jammies for the next ten hours.

It was a quiet weekend, all told. I was looking forward to cocooning, to spending time in the house with the kids. They let us sleep in on both mornings; a minor miracle if there ever was one.
